If I look at the size of Norfolk and the amount of Schools and FE Colleges that we have in the County it could make my hair stand on end. Why? I hear you say. Well there is only one of me and a whole lot of geographical space to cover.

I firmly believe that Networking and Collaboration is the way forward. It would be a practical impossibility for me to visit all 52 Secondary Schools, 6 FE & Sixth Form Colleges etc and even if I did, it would not necessarily make me an expert in all Business Related Qualifications, Work-Related Learning Programmes and Enterprise Activities offered in the County.

I am in the process of conducting a survey on the Business Related Curriculum as it stands in Norfollk. It will include all courses studied, the level they are studied at and all teachers teaching on these courses. This will allow us to work in sub-groups around the County so that we can help and support colleagues new to the profession, new to the subject are and/or new to the County. This in turn will improve the learning experience of our young people and extend the support provided to our colleagues.

I am here to facilitate the above process and to bring people together to develop ideas, share good practice, gain in confidence, to test out new ideas and to ensure that people feel good about what they are doing. (I don't think we get enough time to do this.)
