Learning Platform Services:
Netmedia MyGrid4Learning gives all staff and pupils at your school a secure online space, communication tools, learning tools and their own personal e-portfolio to store and share their work and learning. Sometimes referred to as a Virtual Learning Environment, this allows pupils to engage in learning both at school and beyond the school day through any computer with Internet access.
High quality online learning content:
Espresso Primary is well known by most primary school teachers. The educational broadband content provided by Espresso is highly regarded and a significant number of schools in Norfolk are already subscribing to this services. Weekly updated multi-media resources related to the curriculum are available through the cache pilot at each Norfolk Primary School.
Learning Platform Programme:
There is a training programme for 2 people from each school for a total of 5 days to implement Netmedia MyGrid4Learning. Already successfully piloted, this programme ensures that setup, implementation and rollout to all staff and pupils at school is supported throughout and directly linked to the school's development plan. Further technical training is provided for the administration of the system.
Training for Espresso Primary is school based and organised by Espresso Education in the first instance. A trainer will work with all staff to provide a half day training session on the use of the content and its application as part of the learning process.
During to the training programme a consultant will visit the school for two half days of support on the BECTA Self Review Framework.
