I've just led the first of four workshops for 6 PGCE students in the Thorpe St Andrew cluster. The workshop titles are Behaviour Management, Target Setting, Foundation subjects and Time Management - scarily open and wide ranging! I felt pretty nervous about the first one, but the students were lovely, and at the end of session one I was able to ask them what they actually wanted to know about Target Setting - and it wasn't necessarily what I would automatically have planned, so I feel more confident that I can offer what they want in session two. I really enjoy working with students like this, and it gives me a completely different experience from my day to day teaching. Whatever I've been asked to do on outreach, I've always learned a good deal myself, so it's very much a two way experience. Thanks to Greg for setting up these sessions.
