Sebastian Gasse :: Blog :: Becoming an e-confident School Leader

February 02, 2007

Given the opportunity to talk to the Norfolk Association of Deputy and Assistant Head Teachers (NASDAH), I was keen to pull together some of the excellent resources and advice available to school leaders.  It's not easy to suddently taken on the line management of ICT only to find out, that there is a lot more to it.  Suddenly, there is a need for sustainable financial planning.  The SEF needs to included the right questions to monitor the use of ICT across the Curriculum, the school needs to develop a strong vision for ICT and the ICT Co-ordinator is not sure, whether she is subject leader, ICT Co-ordinator and possibly responsible for introducing electronic registration.  WHERE DO YOU START???

The NASDAH Presentation attached PowerPoint, which I used for my presentation hopefully gives you the necessary links and information.  Please note, that links point to specific pages and documents, even where I just mention the organisation.

A good starting point is the Self Review Framework, which can be found on the NCSL Website.
